This video shows how by the end of the season there were three areas on the field that were completely dirt and no grass. Which were the middle of the field and the sidelines. Also shows how the field conditions would affect the play of individuals like in one clip a kid trips over nothing but the poorly grounded field. In other clips it shows how the ball was so covered in mud from the rain on the dirt that the ball became difficult to handle. This affected when players tried to catch the ball or the center trying to get the ball to the quarterback.

This is a picture of the home side bleachers at New Britain High School. This type of bleachers is called a grandstand which can be expensive because it must be customized to the stadium. Dillon Stadiums home side bleachers are nice but they don't see an extremely high amount of people.
This is a view of the field and away bleachers at New Britain High School. Even though it is the away side the bleachers are still nicely aluminum similarly to the home side. At Dillon Stadium the away bleachers are wooden and rusted, making it good for only an audience on the home side. Also the field here is grass and soil, but is still up-kept beautifully.
This is the Field of Enfield High School it is completely covered in a turf and looks great. If Dillon Stadium had turfing it could save the state a lot of Money.
This picture is of Coginchaug High School's field in Durham. I show this picture to display how other teams have personalization at their field. At Dillon Stadium their isn't any which i understand because it is the home to many teams. I'm just trying to bring up the fact that their is no personalization for the teams. Whether it just be a banner with the teams name on it.
This is the scoreboard for Coginchaug High School it isn't the best I've seen, but its a good quality scoreboard compared to the one at Dillon Stadium. Where there are some lights missing and it works inconsistently. One game the SMSA TigerHawks had, the scoreboard would not work for a brief period of time during the game. This affects the entire game and should not happen.
Coach Graham Martin of Sport and Medical Sciences Academy (Football)
This is myself and Coach Martin of the Sport and Medical Sciences Academy football team who I had the pleasure to play for. He was the first Coach I interviewed for my project. This is not a picture from the day I did interview him, but it is a picture of Coach Martin and I. Coach Martin has been a Coach for 44 years and 40 of those years he has played at Dillon Stadium. He coached at Bulkeley for 36 years and at Sport and Medical Sciences Academy for 4 years. He told me that since 1970 the field has been "basically the same", which is not something that the Hartford Parks Department should be proud of. Coach Martin also made suggested that the Stadium has a lot of potential like being the home for playoff and Semi-Pro games which could potentially help finances.

Coach Eric McKay of Sport and Medical Sciences Academy (Soccer)
" #1-Turf Surface
#2-Scoreboard Update
#3-Lights Update
#4-Bleachers Update "
These are the four things Eric McKay would like to see happen to Dillon Stadium in order of priority. He sees how the field is overused and goes through wear and tear, but there isn't anything done about it.Coach McKay sees that Dillon Stadium is a good, but that it has more potential. He sees the potential for Dillon Stadium to hold state tournament and more people playing there.

Coach Harry Belucci of Hartford Public High School (Football)
Mr. Belucci is a man who has known Dillon Stadium for quite a long time, he's been watching games there since the 1960s and he played there for high school in 1971. HPHS has been playing at Dillon Stadium since 2003. Coach Beluccit says, "There is too much activity on this field, its needs artificial turf because it has so many teams using it. The only thing that has been fixed is the refeshment stand." He wishes for an artificial turf field and improved locker rooms.

Coach Christopher Fulton of Capital Prep (Football)
Coach Fulton says, "The field has declined. The locker rooms and bathrooms are grossly antiquated and need to be updated. Moreover, the field needs to be turfed. Capital could not play a state playoff game this year because the field was unplayable." The field has now literally got into the way of Capitol Prep's football game playing which is something a good quality stadium would do.

With suggestions received from Coaches about how an ideal Stadium would be like it reminded me of a stadium that I had played at on a few occasions which was Falcon Field in Meriden. This is a very well kept Stadium with Turf, a high tech scoreboard, and good bleachers for the audience. This field hosts playoff games and championships for younger leagues. This opportunity brings in more money for the organization that runs the field. Dillon Stadium doesn't have to become a NFL Stadium, but with improvement it could house just more then a few high schools, it has more potential then just that.

A Scoreboard can help keep track of what is going on during a lacrose, football or soccer game. The scoreboard also keeps the audience included into the game so i good scoreboard is pretty important.
